An Akron Love Story
On April 28, 2022, Stacey and Brian will stand before family and friends to renew their vows after 22 years of marriage.
Stacey and Brian first met in 1999. Stacey had recently gotten out of a relationship and was feeling pretty down. Her brother had invited her to come hang out with some of his friends and, despite her mood, she decided to join. As fate would have it, Brian was there that night. After that night, Stacey and Brian were inseparable. They fell in love quickly and were married 10 months later.
In 2020 when Stacey started experiencing some significant digestive issues, coupled with crippling nausea. She underwent a colonoscopy, which revealed a neuroendocrine tumor in her intestines. Despite her doctor told it was nothing to worry about, Stacey was concerned. She was finally seen by a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic who sadly found cancer in her rectum, ovaries and lungs.
Stacey has endured a series of very difficult surgeries and treatments related to her cancer and struggles daily with pain, fatigue, and normal bodily functions. Through it all though, her spirits are hopeful, and her joy is contagious. We’re thrilled to have met these cuties and cannot wait to grant their wish for a very special vow renewal.

A Mesa, AZ Love Story
On March 27, 2022, Sheila and Tom will stand before family and friends to renew their vows after 30 years of marriage.
Sheila and Tom have known each other since they were children growing up at the same summer family camp. It wasn’t until Sheila was 21 and Tom was 25 that things changed. They were both back at family camp for another week and Sheila offered to drive Tom home at the end of the week. They hit it off immediately and were married just 6 months later.
In 2006, when her oldest was 11 years old and the two youngest were just three, Sheila was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Unfortunately, in 2016 her cancer metastasized to her skull and bones, 10 years after her initial diagnosis. Sheila underwent an incredibly complicated 15-hour craniectomy and is currently back on chemotherapy.

A Tribute to Mandy
On November 17, 2021, Mandy and Ronnie stood with family and friends on the breathtaking grounds of the Barn at Willow Brook to renew their vows.
Amanda and Ronnie first met while working at the same company in 2004. They were both going through painful divorces and became a support to one another. They started dating a year later, instantly fell in love and were married in 2005.
In 2019, Mandy’s doctor noticed some concerning results on a routine blood panel. As a precaution, she underwent a series of liver tests, a biopsy and a colonoscopy. Sadly, the tests revealed a large mass in her colon that had likely been present for years. She was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer that had spread to her liver. Sadly, Mandy lost her battle with cancer on February 5, 2022, less than three months after her gorgeous vow renewal.
We are so honored to have played a small role in Mandy and Ronnie’s story and send all of our love and hugs to their family and friends as they continue to grieve her loss.
A Long Island City Wish
On March 21, 2022, Eunice and Ricardo will stand before loved ones to renew their vows and to celebrate a love that has persevered in the face of sickness and loss.
Eunice and Ricardo met on a dating website before dating websites were a thing. At the time, Eunice, who was only 17 and living in Chicago, began chatting with a young man named Ricardo, who was 22 and living in New York City. They were friends for 8 years before dating and falling in love.
In 2017, Ricardo began having some issues with his stomach. While many of his symptoms could be easily explained away, his condition continued to progress. Eventually, he sought the advice of a doctor. A test revealed that he had a blockage in his bowels. They were able to put a stint in, but an MRI showed a tumor in his pancreas. Sadly, he was given the devasting diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Despite the overwhelming pain and suffering that Eunice and Ricardo have experienced in the last four years, their love remains as strong as ever. We fell for this beautiful couple and are honored to help them renew their vows.

After high school, Carlos went away for college, but the two stayed together and were married at a courthouse right out of college.
A few into their marriage, Lissette started experiencing some pain in her jaw. Over time though, Lissette’s pain grew so acute that it started affecting every part of her life. Finally, at the behest of Carlos, she went to see a jaw specialist. Lissette was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma. She underwent an incredibly complicated 16-hour surgery to have the tumor removed and her jawbone rebuilt.

Naomi and Matthew’s Texas Love Story
On February 27, 2022, Naomi and Matthew will gather with family and friends to renew their vows after 25 years of marriage.
Naomi and Matthew’s love story began in the most unexpected way. At the time, Matthew was working at a retail store in the local mall when Naomi popped in to look around. He was immediately taken with her and, in an attempt to get her phone number, convinced her to fill out an application to work at the store. Days later, he was called for jury duty and his coworker ended up hiring Naomi. When Matthew returned to work, he was stunned to find Naomi working with him. There were sparks from day 1. Naomi and Matthew flirted throughout their shift, went on a date the next day and were married 6 months later.
In December of 2020, Naomi was diagnosed with metastatic gastric cancer that had spread to her stomach, lymph nodes and liver.
We fell for this lovely couple the minute we met them and are honored to help them renew their vows on this very special anniversary. We brought on board an old friend of our organization and have been so touched by the hard work that she has put into this event.

On February 20, 2022, Demeshia (Demi) and Tim will stand before their family and friends to renew their vows and to celebrate a love that has triumphed over sickness and heartache.
Demi and Tim first met about 11 years ago through mutual friends. They hit it off immediately and dove head first into a relationship that is still going strong today. The two dated for about five years before saying “I do” in a very small ceremony at the local courthouse.
Demi’s health issues began when she was just 19 years old. A mysterious dark circle appeared on her arm and while her doctor initially didn’t think it was anything to be concerned about, later testing revealed that it was systemic scleroderma. Overtime, Demi’s scleroderma has advanced considerably and has resulted in the amputation of five fingers and one toe, as well as hypertension and blood pressure issues.
We have loved getting to know this beautiful couple and have been touched by the many ways they have loved and cared for each other throughout their years together. We’re honored to grant their wish for a vow renewal and cannot wait to see what our team has in store.
