A socal wish
On February 17, 2022, Sara and Felix gathered with loved ones to renew their vows on a beautiful, sun-soaked, southern California day.
In December of 2018, Sara started experiencing some concerning stomach issues. After multiple trips to the doctors and numerous tests, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her liver and her abdomen.
Sara has endured more in the past few years than any young, vibrant person should. Despite painful surgeries, difficult treatments and brutal side effects, Sara has not lost her spark for life and her love for Felix has only deepened.
We were honored to grant this wish for Sara and Felix and were humbled by the outpouring of love from our incredible team.
an lA wish come true
On November 10, 2022, Anastasia and Barbara gathered at Seventh Place in downtown Los Angeles to renew their vows in front of dear friends and family.
In June of 2020, Anastasia began having some concerning issues with her breast. She underwent a series of tests and was sadly diagnosed with stage 2B breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy and was hopeful for a full recovery. A few months later, however, she started experiencing pain in her hip. After numerous scans and tests, she was told that her cancer had metastasized to her bones and liver. She is actively receiving treatment and is trying to remain hopeful, despite the very difficult side effects that she is experiencing.
We loved meeting these beautiful women and were honored to help them renew their vows.

A Long Beach Wedding Wish
Gilbert and Kiletta first met online in 2015. She had been communicating with several different people but kept getting e-mails from the same guy – Gilbert. Initially she was ignoring them because she didn’t think he was the right fit for her. Eventually though, Gilbert’s humor won her over and they talked on the phone for three hours. After that, they met for coffee and have been together ever since.
After dating for about three years, Gilbert and Kiletta began planning their future together and decided to get married. The wedding plans were immediately put on hold when Gilbert developed a terrible stomach ache. He went to the doctor, had a colonoscopy and a body scan and was sadly diagnosed with stage four colon cancer that had spread to his liver. Gilbert immediately underwent an aggressive chemotherapy treatment plan and is doing his best to remain hopeful with the results.
Wish Upon a Wedding has loved getting to know this adorable couple and was honored to grant their wish for a wedding.

A Costa Mesa Wedding Wish
Danielle and Brandon first met when they were just 14 years old and became friends but did not starting dating until they were 20. Once they got together though, they quickly fell in love and became engaged. Although their family and friends doubted their decision, Danielle and Brandon were married in a quiet court house ceremony on March 17, 2008 and have spent the last 11 years falling more deeply in love. Throughout the years, the couple’s vow to love each other in sickness and in health has been repeatedly put to the test. Starting at around age 26, Danielle began experiencing chronic pain issues in her back and hips. In 2015 she discovered an apricot sized lump in her breast but was told that it was benign. Two years later, an MRI revealed a growth in her hip which sadly turned out to be stage 4 breast cancer. Unfortunately, by the time her cancer was discovered, it had advanced considerably. She underwent aggressive chemotherapy for five months but has continued to steadily decline in health. Despite the pain, sickness, and exhaustion she battles on a daily basis, Danielle and Brandon are trying their best to remain hopeful and to savor each moment they have left together. Wish Upon a Wedding fell in love with this beautiful couple and was truly honored to grant their wish for a vow renewal.
