A Nashville Wedding - Our 150th Wish!
On December 4, 2019, Amanda and Sean gathered with their children, family members and friends at 1212 Germantown in Nashville, TN, to commit their lives to one another in marriage. For Wish Upon a Wedding, Amanda and Sean’s wedding was a momentous occasion as it marked our 150th wish!
Amanda and Sean first met online in the fall of 2017. They were both previously divorced, and were looking to give love a second chance, each with two small children in tow. Two years prior to meeting, Amanda had been diagnosed with a rare and very troubling form of cancer known as metastatic neuroendocrine/carcinoid syndrome. Her condition, which results in numerous neuroendocrine tumors that randomly develop throughout her body, is incredibly difficult to treat and has a myriad of symptoms and side effects, including extreme pain and fatigue.
Amanda’s cancer diagnosis did not scare Sean. They hit it off on their first date, quickly fell in love and have been together ever since. Amanda continues to battle tumors and is currently undergoing chemotherapy injections every 28 days. She has participated in numerous experimental treatment programs in hopes of controlling her unpredictable cancer patterns, but the results vary tremendously. Despite her constant pain, she cheerfully takes life one day at a time and cherishes each moment with Sean and their children.
We fell for this lovely couple on day one. Amanda’s infectious personality and unbelievably positive attitude blew us away and Sean’s unwavering commitment and patient strength truly touched our hearts. It was such an honor to grant Amanda and Sean’s wish and we are so thankful for the many people who showed up to help.
We joined up with our friend Laurie D’Anne Events and were so impressed with the incredible team she assembled. From the super cool location, to the breathtaking flowers, delicious farm-to-table meal and incredible live band, Amanda and Sean spent the evening mingling with friends, dancing with their little ones and basking in the love they have for one another. In addition to all of these incredible treats, our wish granters went above and beyond to shower our couple with so many fun little extras like cotton candy mocktails, an interactive photo booth and a gorgeous bed and breakfast stay. Simply put, wish #150 was most certainly one for the books!
We cannot say thank you enough to these remarkable wish granters.
