On June 14th 2022, Christy and Brandon stood before family and friends to renew their vows after 11 years of marriage.
In the summer of 2021, Brandon started having trouble taking deep breaths. He works construction for his job and assumed that he had pulled a muscle or something. As his symptoms progressed, he decided to go get checked out by his doctor. A scan revealed a large amount of fluid in his lung. After further testing, he learned that the fluid was cancerous and that it had spread to his lymph nodes.
Brandon underwent a targeted treatment plan, which included numerous painful procedures to have the continuous fluid drained from his lungs. Thankfully, he has responded well to his treatment and is feeling strong.
