2020 Corona Virus #HOPE Campaign

In the midst of these unprecedented times, it’s easy to get discouraged and bogged down in negativity. Instead, lets focus on the enormous outpouring of love, kindness and generosity that is all around us. Since we’re in the business of granting wishes, we thought it would be fun to reward some friends in the wedding industry who are truly going the extra mile right now.

We developed the 2020 Corona Virus #HOPE Campaign to grant awards to vendors who are using their time, talents and resources to help those directly affected by this pandemic. Per usual, we were blown away by all of the good folks out there.

Here’s a look at some of the businesses in our first batch of winners:

Mask Makers

High fives to all of you out there making masks for your community – keep up the good work!

Ese Azenabor

This lovely dress designer out of Houston, TX is currently working overtime, producing thousands of masks for hospitals across the country.

Alterations Atelier

This sweet dress designer from Teaneck, NJ has been plowing through her personal inventory of fabric, pillowcases and sheets to make masks for her local funeral homes and senior centers.

2nd Avenue Boutique

With business at a standstill, this clothing and alterations boutique has been busy making masks for anyone who needs one in the community – including Will, one of recent Wish Recipients! When she’s not making masks, the owner, Leesa has been ordering and delivering pizzas to local families in need.

Sew Bridal Chicago

With the dramatic slowdown in the wedding industry, this custom veil, gown and alterations boutique has switched gears, creating hundreds of masks for the Chicago health care community.

Meal Providers

Caterers, restaurants to bakeries across the country are opening their hearts and their kitchens to feed the masses right now. Here are a few that we are especially proud of:

Marcia Selden Catering and Events

Polkadot Cake Shop

Sometimes cookies are the best medicine! Polkadot Cake shop, in Rockaway, NJ, had the creative idea to create the “donate a dozen” program, which allows folks to send dozens of cookies to medical workers on the front line. To sweeten the deal, the cake shop is matching all of the donations and has currently given away more than 20 dozen!

A Catered Affair

This catering company out of Murfreesboro, TN had the great idea to use their time and talents to prepare and deliver meals for the elderly population in their community that typically relies on meals at their local senior center.

A huge congrats to all of these deserving businesses! Stay tuned for more award winners. As always, thanks so much for your continued support of Wish Upon a Wedding, Stay safe friends!
