On June 25, Brook and Mike will stand before their children, family, and friends and pledge their lives to one another. Although they only met a year ago, their young relationship has endured more than most do in a lifetime.

Brook and Mike first met online last summer. They began chatting and decided to meet in person. As fate would have it, they were talking on the phone hours before their first date and realized that they were on the same street. They pulled over in a nearby parking lot and immediately hit it off.

Within the first few days of hanging out, Brook knew that she had to tell Mike some very hard news. Earlier that year she had been diagnosed with breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. Much to her surprise, Mike wasn’t scared and told her that he was sticking around.

They quickly fell in love and got engaged. After a round of failed chemotherapy and three weeks at a specialized treatment clinic in Arizona, Brook made the very hard decision to switch to palliative care. Although she struggles with an enormous amount of pain and fatigue on a daily basis, she’s trying to remain positive and be the best mom that she can be to the couple’s combined 9 children. Brook and Mike are taking it one day at a time, going for walks, attending their children’s sporting events and soaking up their time together.

Wish Upon a Wedding fell head over heels for this fun-loving couple and cannot wait to grant their wish for a wedding. We’ve enlisted the help of an incredible wish granting team and are looking forward to watching the magic unfold.
