On December 19, 2021, Karen and Dan gathered with loved ones to renew their vows on the breathtaking grounds of Chateau Noland in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Karen and Dan first met online in 2013. They connected and began chatting. When they finally decided to meet in person, they hit it off and began dating.

The couple married in 2017 and wanted to start a family. Unfortunately, due to two bouts of childhood leukemia, Karen was unable to conceive without the help of IVF. It was while they were going through the process that she noticed a lump in her breast. While her doctor initially didn’t think much of it, a mammogram and ultrasound revealed the worst. She was diagnosed with cancer – again.

We were moved by this beautiful love story and thrilled to grant Karen and Dan’s wish for a vow renewal.

On December 19, 2021, Karen and Dan will stand before their family and friends to renew their vows and celebrate a new chapter in their lives.

Karen and Dan first met online in 2013. They connected and began to chat and get to know each other. When they finally decided to meet in person, they hit it off, talking for more than four hours. It wasn’t long until they fell in love and moved in together. They were married in 2017.

Karen’s medical issues first started when she was diagnosed with leukemia as a five-year-old and then again as a seven-year-old. It was when Karen and Dan were going through the IVF process to have a baby that she noticed a lump in her breast. While her doctor initially didn’t think much of it, a mammogram and ultrasound revealed the worst. She was diagnosed with cancer – again.

Shortly after Karen and Dan’s baby was born, however, Karen started experiencing some pain in her hip. She went to see her doctor and was devastated to learn that her cancer had metastasized to her bones. Karen and Dan’s story has touched us deeply and we are honored to help them fulfill their wish. We teamed up with Christina Tutt of Cask Events and are blown away by the incredible team that she has assembled.
