A Southfield, MI Wish
On June 5, 2023, Jenny and Patrick stood before family and friends on a gorgeous summer day to renew their vows at the Pearls Event Center in Southfield, MI.
Throughout the next five years, they struggled to have children. They were finally blessed with a daughter and shortly after, a son. While Jenny was pregnant with her son, she felt a lump in her breast. Because of Covid, she went months without the proper testing. When she finally underwent an ultrasound, the results were devastating. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer just two weeks before the birth of her son. She was induced, gave birth to her little boy, and immediately underwent surgery and chemotherapy. Her treatment has taken a tremendous toll on her, especially while caring for two little kids and she is facing each day with faith in God and a grateful heart.
A chelsea, mi wish
On June 14th 2022, Christy and Brandon stood before family and friends to renew their vows after 11 years of marriage.
In the summer of 2021, Brandon started having trouble taking deep breaths. He works construction for his job and assumed that he had pulled a muscle or something. As his symptoms progressed, he decided to go get checked out by his doctor. A scan revealed a large amount of fluid in his lung. After further testing, he learned that the fluid was cancerous and that it had spread to his lymph nodes.
Brandon underwent a targeted treatment plan, which included numerous painful procedures to have the continuous fluid drained from his lungs. Thankfully, he has responded well to his treatment and is feeling strong.
A Michigan Love Story
On June 14th 2022, Christy and Brandon will gather with loved ones to renew their vows and to celebrate more than ten years of marriage.
Christy and Brandon like to say that music brought them together. They first met in 2003 at a party that Brandon was hosting and DJ’ing at his home. Although they were both married to other people at the time, they quickly became friends. Six years later, they were both divorced and decided to try dating. Sparks flew immediately and they were married two years later.

We’ve loved meeting this outgoing, spunky couple and are excited to help them renew their vows.
A Michigan Vow Renewal
On September 12, 2021, Kelly and Larry gathered before family and friends to renew their vows on the beautiful grounds of The Grand Belle in Clarkston, MI.
Kelly and Larry first met through a mutual friend in 2004. They hit it off immediately, soon started dating and were married three years later.
It was an honor meeting Kelly and Larry and granting their wish for a vow renewal. Our new friends at Wedded Perfection planned an incredible celebration and showered our couple with an unbelievably gorgeous day.
In the summer of 2019, Kelly had begun experiencing some concerning female issues and went to get checked out. After undergoing several tests, she was sadly diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to her ovaries.
A Northern Michigan Love Story
On January 9, 2022, Jennifer and Ron will stand before their family and friends to renew their vows and to celebrate a love that has been going strong for the past 42 years.
Jennifer and Ron met when they were just 17 years old. Jennifer had recently broken up with her boyfriend and decided to cheer herself up by attend her aunt’s Memorial Day party. As luck would have it, she met Ron that night and they two have been together ever since.
This past year, Ron started to experience some unexplained health issues. He was waking up with swelling in his chest and decided to get it checked out. Sadly, Ron was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. He immediately began an aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment program to try to shrink his tumor and prevent his cancer from spreading. Unfortunately, Ron’s cancer has continued to progress and has moved into his lymph nodes and bones.
We’ve been touched by their beautiful story and are thrilled to be granting this vow renewal wish for them.
We were honored to team up with a dear friend, Alicia Fritz of A Day in May Events, and cannot wait to see what kind of magic she has in store for our sweet couple.
A Michigan Love Story
On September 12, 2021, Kelly and Larry will stand before family and friends to renew their vows after 14 years of marriage. For this beautiful couple, the road back to the alter has been paved with sickness, perseverance, and most of all – love.
Kelly and Larry first met in 2004 when Kelly decided to meet up with a friend late one night after work. Her friend, as it turns out, wanted her to meet her friend, Larry. The two started dating two weeks later and very quickly fell in love. They dated for the next two years and were married in 2007. As Kelly describes it, life was good. Within a few years, the couple began having children. In 2014, their life was turned upside down when their oldest son was diagnosed with Leukemia at just 3 and a half years old. Thankfully, Noah has been cancer free for the past three years.
In the summer of 2019, Kelly began experiencing some concerning medical issues of her own. She had started having some female pains and went in for an ultrasound. The testing revealed a large tumor on her ovary, which he was told was likely not something to be too concerned about. A biopsy then sadly revealed the worst. She was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to her ovaries. Throughout the next two years, Kelly underwent numerous painful and invasive surgeries and treatments, including a full hysterectomy and a rigorous chemotherapy regiment. Kelly is currently undergoing more treatment and is continuing to fight hard for her sweet family, with Larry by her side.
A Tribute to Ronnie
Stephanie and Ronnie first met in 2007 at a mutual friend’s house. As the two describe it, it was love at first site. They fell for each other immediately and moved in together the following week. Three years later, they had a baby boy. While they had their ups and downs, like all couples, Stephanie and Ronnie’s love continued to grow and flurish throughout the years.
In 2014, Ronnie’s life took a drastic turn when he inexplicably collapsed on the floor of his apartment. Unbeknownst to him, he was suffering from a softball sized tumor on the left side of his brain. Ronnie immediately underwent a complicated brain surgery. While the surgeon was able to remove 98% of the tumor, the tests were devastating. He was diagnosed with brain cancer.
In February of 2020, however, he suffered a grand mal seizure while commuting on a bus home from work. He had to be resuscitated and spent the next week in a coma. Ronnie’s tests revealed the worst. His cancer had returned and his tumor had multiplied. Although he fought with all he had, Ronnie lost his battle with cancer just four days after our wish. Our hearts go out to Stephanie and Rj as they face life without him.
