On February 27, 2022, Naomi and Matthew gathered with loved ones on a gorgeous sunny day at Bethel Rock in Leonard, TX to renew their vows and to celebrate 25 years of marriage.

Naomi and Matthew first met in 1997 a store in the mall where Matthew was working. The meeting made such an impression on Matthew that he convinced Naomi to apply for a job there. She applied and was hired. They hit it off on their first shift together, began dating and were married a few months later.

They spent the next two decades raising and family and building a life together. In December of 2020, however, their lives completely changed. Naomi had begun experiencing some troubling digestive issues and went to her doctor to get checked out. After months of testing, she was given the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 gastric cancer that had spread to her stomach, lymph nodes and liver. She underwent intense treatment to try to slow the spread of her cancer and fought for two long years with her family by her side. Sadly, Naomi lost her battle with cancer this past week.

It was an honor to meet this beautiful woman and to grant this wish for a vow renewal. We introduced our couple to our sweet friend, Holly Norris, of Darling Events Co. and truly loved watching this gorgeous day unfold.
