Dalen and Stacie first met online several years ago. Although Stacie had recently gotten out of a bad relationship and was nervous to meet someone new, the two began talking and immediately hit it off. At the time that they first met, they lived 500 miles apart and much of their relationship consisted of phone calls. Eventually they began visiting each other and spent their weekends driving seven hours back and forth to each other’s houses.

Throughout the whole time they were talking, Dalen relentlessly pursued her and loved her in a way that she had never experienced. Finally, he convinced her to move to Colorado so they could be together.

This past year, Dalen began experiencing some troubling health problems. After being repeatedly and wrongfully diagnosed with sinus infections and upper respiratory issues, his health began to decline rapidly. He began experiencing some problems with his vision and visited an optometrist. She immediately knew something was wrong and sent him to the ER. Within a short amount of time, Dalen was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer than has metastasized to his brain. He is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments with Stacie standing faithfully by his side.

Wish Upon a Wedding was touched by Dalen and Stacie’s beautiful love story and is excited to grant this wish for them. We’ve enlisted the help of an incredible team of wish granters and have been amazed at their generosity:
