On October 4, 2018, Carolina and Erick gathered in front of their family and close friends to dedicate their lives to one another in a beautiful service on the breathtaking grounds of the Rock Island Lake Club.

The day, which was nearly 10 years in the making, was a high point in what has been a very long and challenging year. In 2017, on her birthday no less, Carolina was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and months of chemotherapy, all while caring for the couple’s young children. Throughout the entire struggle, Carolina and Erick leaned on each other for strength, support and love.

Carolina and Erick’s wedding was a dream come true for them. Although it rained during the days leading up to the ceremony, the clouds broke the morning of the wedding and they were able to exchange vows on the dock overlooking the lake. Following the ceremony, guests dined on delicious food, listened to touching speeches and danced the night away.

We were honored to grant this wish for Carolina and Erick and are so thankful for our amazing team of wish granters who went above and beyond to make it special.
