We recognize that the financial and emotional cost of a severe illness or a life-altering health circumstance can shift the priorities of a couple. When illness strikes, planning even a small wedding can feel like an impossible task.
As an organization committed to giving back to the community, we want to empower couples to continue living their life to the fullest. The best way we know how to do this is to use our wedding industry experience to support couples and take away the burden of planning and paying for their wedding or vow renewal.
Over the years, Wish Upon a Wedding has nurtured ties with individuals, wedding industry professionals, corporate sponsors, partners, and extraordinary Wish Granters. Our network of supporters has allowed us to grant more than 250 weddings and vow renewals to couples battling terminal illnesses through their generous donations.
Although we are the organization leading this mission, our generous sponsors and Wish Granters are the ones who are in charge of making the weddings, and the dreams related to them, come true.

Volunteer
There are many volunteer opportunities —from one-off administrative projects to more event-focused options like our annual hosted Blissful Wishes Ball in Chicago. Our Board of Directors also rely on the help of volunteers; they are essential to fulfilling our company’s mission, and we welcome volunteers at all levels. You can apply to join our Board here. What is a Wish Granter?
Our Wish Granters are wedding industry professionals who donate their products and/or services to a wedding in their area. Our Wish Granters can choose to help with one wedding or with multiple weddings over time.
Weddings and vow renewals would not be possible without the generous support of our Wish Granters. Your donation can be tax-deductible.
Interested in becoming a Wish Granter in your area? Please complete our Wish Granter Application Form. When you fill out this form, you are giving Wish Upon A Wedding permission to add your contact information to our national database, and we will reach out to you when we need help in your area.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, Wish Upon a Wedding is a registered 501(c)3 and all donations are tax deductible. Upon donating, you will receive a receipt via your email. We also send “year in donation” letters that you can send to your accountant.
Can I make monthly or recurring donations?
Absolutely! We are grateful for our sponsors and donors who continuously support Wish Upon a Wedding’s mission. To make a monthly or recurring donation, head to the DONATE tab.
Select the amount you’d like to donate, or write a custom amount.
Make sure the option is on MONTHLY and enter in your information to make monthly recurring payments.
We use Kindful for our donations and you can manage your donations through this portal. Kindful will ask you to create your own login information to be able to manage contributions.
