A minimum of SIX board members are needed to form a new chapter {with a required minimum Executive Board of President, VP, Secretary and Treasurer}.
Please do NOT submit an application until you have the minimum BOD and Executive Board members. National may not approve ALL persons listed.
National must approve the application and the proposed list of board members of each Chapter-In-Formation.
National reserves the right to select and approve a minimum of two board members for each Chapter-In- Formation.
Nonprofit experience or prior board experience is preferred, if seeking the role of Chapter President.
Please allow six months from the time of your application until National approves/denies the Chapter-In-Formation.
National will review your application and approve or deny it. If approved, you will be granted chapter-in-formation status.
WUW National will then grant access to additional documents on our online storage system.
Establishing a Wish Upon a Wedding chapter is not an activity to be taken lightly. The strength of the organization as a whole depends on each chapter creating and sustaining an active, growing presence in its community. Activities at the local level are critical to the growth of the organization nationally. To initiate a chapter-in-formation, the above steps must be taken.
