Wedding Wish Descriptions
Boutique Wish
Description of Wish: This type of wish is for wish recipients looking for an intimate event that have typically been given less than three years to live. This wish cannot be a destination wish, as it is done within 100 miles of the current residence of the Wish Recipient.
Includes: wedding planner, venue, caterer, rental company, photographer, videographer, cake, gown{s}, tuxedo{s}, officiate, florist, stationery designer, DJ/musicians, hair/makeup, & transportation as determined by couple and WUW.
May also include: lighting design, entertainment vendors, event designer, child care. If time allows, other Wish Granters may be selected, based on the wish recipients’ vision, and the available resources of WUW.
Other Accommodations Included in Wish if WUW funding allows: Transportation to wedding for up to 4 individuals and up to 2 nights’ accommodations in up to TWO Hotel Rooms, for up to 4 individuals.

Romantic Wish
Description: This type of wish may not be urgent in nature, but one of the Wish Recipients has typically been given a terminal prognosis of less than three years to live. This wish can be a destination wedding if determined okay by WUW board and the Wish Recipient’s physician{s}.
Includes: wedding planner, venue, caterer, rental company, photographer, videographer, cake, gown{s}, tuxedo{s}, officiate, florist, stationery designer, DJ/musicians, hair/makeup, & transportation as determined by couple and WUW.
May also include: lighting design, entertainment vendors, event designer, child care. If time allows, other Wish Granters may be selected, based on the wish recipients’ vision, and the available resources of WUW.
Other Accommodations Included in Wish if WUW funding allows: Transportation to wedding for up to 4 individuals and up to 3 nights’ accommodations in TWO hotel rooms, for up to four {4} individuals {including wish recipients}.

What is Not Typically Included
Alterations, veil, shoes, bridesmaids’ attire, bridesmaids’ hair and makeup, groomsmen’s attire, spa treatments, honeymoon, bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, calligraphy, postage, specialty decor, alcohol, jewelry, shuttle transportation, wedding night accommodations, fire/tent/candle permits, and any other items outside of WUW’s regular and immediate accessibility. WUW is not responsible for loss or damage to rented items from the florist or any rental company items, nor any loss or damages incurred during wedding wish. WUW does not allow Wish Recipients to have over the maximum number of guests noted above.
Not all Wishes will be the Same
WUW reserves the right to provide pre-approved vendors from our list of Wish Granters. Each Wish will vary, and although WUW will try to secure all Wish Granters listed above, in some cases, we may not. Additionally, there may often be donations included that are NOT listed here. If Wish Recipient wishes to serve alcohol, Wish Recipient is responsible for providing their own alcohol and securing a $2 million day-of insurance policy in their names. This should be discussed with the assigned Event Coordinator and the WUW Volunteer Coordinators prior to the Wish. WUW is in no way liable for alcohol-related incidents of any kind.
