Wish Upon a Wedding’s Founder Liz Guthrie has been an event planner for nearly two decades. Her unique background includes a degree in Business Communications and work experience in the nonprofit sector, hotel industry, airline industry, and in catering management.
Liz Guthrie’s passion for professional event planning began when she launched her career in 1993 at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort, one of Walt Disney World’s top hotels. She later went on to become a flight attendant for 12 years, while maintaining her career as an event planner for hotels and catering companies, as well as producing large-scale nonprofit events.
In 2007, she opened her own event planning company in San Jose, CA, which eventually lead to the birth of Wish Upon a Wedding.
