Soupany & Sam Valentine’s Day Wedding Wish Granted!

With less than two weeks to plan and execute Soupany and Sam’s Wish this past Valentine’s Day, Tammy of Tammy Golson Events worked her magic to create a gorgeous celebration filled with so much love for this wonderful couple. Soupany, who has Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer, has been in and out of hospice care as her health is deteriorating rapidly. Her very thoughtful caseworker, Mary Anne Macauley, was Soupany and Sam’s advocate who guided them through the Wish application and process. Soupany was so excited to marry the love of her life and her biggest supporter, Sam. They could never thank Mary Anne enough for standing by them to make it possible!

The charming Interfaith Chapel at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts was the perfect venue for the bride and groom to exchange vows and celebrate with around 20 of their closest friends and family. Throughout the entire day, you could truly feel the endless amount of sentiment and generosity from all of their guests and Wish granters. Soupany’s oncologist Dr. Karen Krag, who is also a classically trained pianist, surprised the couple by playing the piano during their ceremony, while Karen Schmidt, the Chaplain of Salem Hospital, officiated a beautiful and emotional ceremony. Soupany and Sam’s adorable two-and-a-half year old daughter brought many smiles to everyone’s faces as she innocently walked down the aisle as the flower girl in her cute red dress. Even more, Soupany’s stunning wedding gown was donated by one of her nurses, Betty Maloney, RN and it fit her impeccably without any alterations! Soupany radiated so much happiness and Sam was in awe of his bride’s beauty as they exchanged their vows.

The exquisite flowers by Jeri Solomon Flower Designs were composed of red for Valentine’s Day and pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, upon the request of the bride and groom. The classic bouquets and traditional boutonnieres were a lovely addition to the sweet venue and complimented the intimate atmosphere. To top off their Wish, Jenny’s Wedding Cakes brought the bride’s wedding cake dream to reality – a white cake with strawberries and cream. The impressive, two-tiered cake was a major hit with all of their guests and Soupany and Sam were ecstatic!

The generosity continued with Soupany’s caseworker, Mary Anne, lending her mother’s elegant fur coat as Soupany’s ‘something borrowed’ to stay warm as the snow was falling throughout the day. It was the perfect touch for their Valentine’s Day winter wonderland! Shawn Black Photography captured many magnificent moments that Soupany, Sam and their families will cherish forever.

Soupany and Sam, we hope you had the best Valentine’s Day and the wedding of your dreams!
