We are delighted to announce that Kelly and Veronica’s ceremony and reception was a beautiful success; thanks to the many vendors who came together to make this very special day happen. The ceremony and reception was held at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, where 55 guests came to witness the heartfelt ceremony for this extraordinary and very deserving couple.
Kelly was diagnosed with a brain cancer called glioblastoma in May after being hospitalized with excruciating headaches. Glioblastoma, or GBM, is one of the most destructive forms of cancer and Kelly has a gene known as Li-Fraumeni syndrome, that puts people at a very high risk for cancer. This gene runs in Kelly’s family and has taken the lives of his mother, grandmother and three uncles.
Kelly’s doctors have estimated that he will have 18 months to live with chemotherapy and radiation treatment. But Kelly is a positive person who is committed to fighting the disease. He plans to live a long life with his wife and their six children. We believe anything is possible and we are keeping Kelly and Veronica in our thoughts as they go through probably the biggest fight of their lives.
The wedding ceremony and reception was important to Veronica and Kelly not only to express their love and devotion to each other, but also to create loving memories for their children to have forever. Marianne Lozano, a prominent wedding photographer in Los Angeles, was there to capture these treasured moments for the Haro family.
Paula Laskelle of Champagne Taste created a lovely ceremony and reception in a color palette of brown, beige, cream, white and light blue, with the help of many talented vendors who donated their time, money and services to make Kelly and Veronica’s dream wedding become a reality.
The Wish Upon a Wedding board expresses gratitude to the Wish Granter community and vendors who have generously donated their services:
