Some of the following projects require a Team Leader, plus 3 other energetic people willing to dedicate the time needed to ensure the success of these tasks. Auction Team: If you enjoy developing strong community relations, fund raising, and seeking donations, we need you. Our once yearly online auction “Bid Your Wish for Wedded Bliss” is one of WUW’s biggest fund raisers. To effectively run and promote this project, we are seeking people who are: organized, detail-oriented, and have experience with fundraising and data entry.
Event Marketing Team: Individuals needed to post frequent information online in a variety of locations such as: Craigslist, Free Event Calendars, and blogs. The main component of this volunteer position would be to stay up to date with all current WUW events, and post links and details for these events to encourage attendance.
Airline Miles Ambassador: If you are interested in getting in from the ground up, and helping WUW build our airline miles donation program, this is the job for you. This job will require contacting the airlines to get specific information about the charitable donation programs. The perfect individual for this job should be a self-starter/self-motivated person who does not mind making phone calls and doing thorough research. This volunteer will need to create the program, maintain it, and market it to the appropriate channels, along with the national administrative office.
Director of Online Fundraising Sales: If you would like to oversee our online store, in conjunction with our national administrative office, we have the perfect position for you. In June of 2011, we plan on launching an exciting new online feature. We will offer a variety of Wish Upon a Wedding fundraising merchandise, from pins to bracelets to stationery supplies. We need an individual (preferably with strong sales or marketing experience) who is self-motivated, energetic, personable. This person must be available to process orders, mail and track data for these items once a week from our headquarters in San Jose, CA.
