The Northern California Chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding is pleased to announce the upcoming vow renewal celebration for Joseph and Guinevere.
The couple first met each other while Joseph was working as a supervisor at California State University Hayward Library. Guinevere was a student assistant in a different library department, but her time clock was in his office. As a result, Joseph would see her every single day. Their relationship started with innocent smiles and saying “hello” to each other, but it soon progressed into a fondness for one another. Despite having different philosophies on life, Joseph was certain that he would marry her once they began dating. They ultimately married in 2008.
Then in 2011, at the young age of 43, Joseph was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. Soon, he would begin chemotherapy with a portable pump, and would begin suffering from depression.
“Up until I became diagnosed, we had a relatively easy going lifestyle,” said Joseph. “Despite some real obvious differences in our personalities, we love each other very much. My illness has proven to be a real testament to our devotion to one another.”
The Northern California Chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding has already experienced the generosity of our wedding and Wish Granter community. Our Board Members are honored to be a part of Joseph and Guinevere’s vow renewal celebration.
