In 2005 Michael was looking for a job where he ended up meeting Angela, though it was only a seasonal position, he was called back to work again for the following holiday season. “While working there I realized what a wonderful person Angela was and how dedicated she was to her job, her employees and her family.” Michael decided to ask her out, and her response was that she would love to but it would have to be after the holidays as she was Michael’s Store manager.
On Jan. 4,2007 they went on their first date and have been together since. “She is such a caring and wonderful person and I love how she is with my daughter. I surprised Angela On Sept.7 2008 and asked her to become my wife. She said yes which made me the happiest man in the world despite the fact that I was already diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.”
Together they worked through the heart ache, the hardship, the treatments, and other health concerns. One thing they know for sure is that there is a wedding in their future. With the love and support from their family & closest friends and the Wish Upon A Wedding New Jersey Chapter, we are excited to share with you our next wish for Michael & Angela.

Nice job, NJ Wish Upon team. You selected a couple who followed their hearts and clearly share a deep passion for one another in spite of economic, medical and even legal obstacles. Most managers would have pointed to rules about bosses dating subordinates and snuffed out any hope of a relationship before it began. Others would have looked at the bank account balance and said no. Still others would have fled when a life-threatening illness changed everything. Angela sounds like a mensch (Yiddish for a person of integrity and honor). Michael sounds like a class act who puts his daughter first and, clearly, deserves the support of Angela and Wish Upon A Wedding. I hope the store in which they met — and the NJ community of wedding industry service providers — participate generously in their dream event. Mazel tov.
What an honor ot was to do Angela’s makeup && Family) & For my Stylist her hair & Family as well! What an amazing organization “Wish Upon A Wedding” is.
I firmly believe that it is in “Giving That We Receive”.
