Linae and David met on the online dating site, Plenty of Fish. She was just “goofing off” with a friend who was browsing the site, when David caught her eye, and she felt drawn to him. She sent him a message on a whim, and he replied back. They’ve pretty much been inseparable since then! As it turned out, David is a lymphoma survivor and the two had many things in common.
Linae’s health history is long and complex, but to keep it short here is her story: In 2005 Linae had a vaso spastic stroke was hospitalized for 6 weeks. During that time, she could not walk or talk. After two more months of physical therapy and speech therapy, Linae was able to return to work as a nurse. At the time, she believed everything happens for a reason and what she went through helped her relate to her patients. However, she continually became sick and the doctors were unable to determine what was wrong. After more experimental treatments, the doctors finally found a large thymic mass in her chest.
After open heart surgery, the 18 inch tumor was removed. But after a year and a half, the symptoms came back. A visit with her specialist confirmed numerous granulomas and nodules had spread throughout her body. After 6 years of serious life-threatening health issues, Linae keeps a positive spirit and loves life.
Their Wedding Wish was granted on August 19 2011 in Canton, Ohio. Rich colors of bold reds and burgandies adorned the luxurious ballroom and set the tone for this intimate celebration of love.
