Cory & Janice believe good things happen all the time, and when they tied the knot recently they received one of their ‘Box of Blessings’ in the heart of Indianapolis.
Cory suffers from Diabetic Retinopathy with Macular Edema and Chronic Pain Syndrome due to Diabetes. This means that on many days he deals with more pain and discomfort than most people experience in one year. It also means that he will be completely blind by the end of the year; possibly as soon as by the end of summer. Cory’s only wish was to see his bride walk down the aisle!
A wish that has now come true, thanks to the Indianapolis Chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding and an amazingly generous group of local wedding professionals. On April 7th, 2011 Cory & Janice were married in the heart of the city. The Eiteljorg Museum was the perfect setting for this intimate affair. There were so many details apart of this day that made it special and we wanted to make sure and tell you about a few.
• Strong bursts of orange and purple were used throughout the event and were inspired by Cory’s ability to see certain colors better than others.
• Janice even wore a special scent, so Cory would always associate it with this day.
• Special up-lighting was used during the ceremony to make sure that Cory could see as much of his glowing, beautiful bride as possible.
The Indianapolis Chapter felt truly blessed to have been apart of Cory & Janice’s celebration and we cannot thank them both enough along with their families!
Janice’s gorgeous bridal gown was from Blue by Enzoani. A Silk Dupioni strapless fit-to-flare ball gown with asymmetrical ruching. Her veil/hair piece was stunning and was from Melissa Blue. A damask pattern was seen throughout the day including the cake & stationary!
The fabulous menu included Chili-Rubbed Shrimp Skewers.
